About Us

Our Pediatric MotorWerks team began in Fairbanks, Alaska in 2007.  After providing pediatric occupational and physical therapy services for 10 years in Alaska we returned home to Michigan. Since 2017 our goal has been to meet the needs of this community through fun, innovative and evidenced-based treatments.  We have expanded our services and joined with New Heights Speech and Language to provide comprehensive services under one roof with a team approach.  Our clinic is dedicated to helping children and their families discover a new joy in life.

Treatment Philosophy

Pediatric MotorWerks believes in a team approach to providing our clients with the best care possible.  We have extensive experience in co-treatment. Co-treatment in occupational, physical, and speech therapy involves integrating these disciplines to address a patient’s needs more holistically. 

The treatment philosophy centers on the following principles:

  • 1. Interdisciplinary Collaboration

    Therapists from each discipline work together to create a unified plan, leveraging their expertise to address complex, multifaceted issues. Regular communication and shared goals are crucial.

Overall, co-treatment aims to provide comprehensive care that enhances the effectiveness of each therapy and supports the child’s overall well-being.

She took plenty of time with us at our consult appointment and patiently answered all of my (billion) questions. When it became clear that my daughter would also need OT services, we felt the same comfort with Theresa. She is equally wondeful, and my daughter loves both therapists so much- which is just as important and the services she receives.

We’ve been seeing them both twice a week for a few months now, and Brandy and Theresa have truly changed our lives. My daughter is more confident, happier, and capable of so much more than I expected in such a short time. She wakes up every morning and asks if it’s “Ms. Brandy Day?!” and whether she gets to go to Ms. Brandy and Ms. Theresa’s house?!
